Welcome to GREEN\house
A partnership between Trent University, Fleming College and Alternatives Journal
Welcome to GREEN\house!
GREEN\house is a partnership between Trent University, Fleming College and Alternatives Journal, Canada’s oldest environmental publication.
At its core, GREEN\house looks to provide students with an opportunity to learn more about environmental communication by working with A\J editors to craft and publish stories that reflect our changing world and human’s role in it.
Alongside faculty from Trent and Fleming, students can learn how to take their ideas, their research and their curiosity and transform them into environmental journalism shared through A\J’s website and social media platform. Truly exceptional pieces of work that reflect a deeper questioning or reasoning of an environmental topic may also be published in A\J’s quarterly print magazine.
« Getting involved »
Providing us with your contact information was the first step, so thanks for that!
This newsletter will be the primary way in which information and updates about GREEN\house will be shared with students at Trent and Fleming, so give it a read when it lands in your inbox.
It will be our way to let you know of upcoming meetings and opportunities, deadlines, links to important articles, classes and faculty GREEN\house will be working with and where to find A\J on social media. It will also be how we let you know about additional opportunities that arise over the coming months.
Any questions you have can be directed to editorial@alternativesjournal.ca.
Until next time,
GREEN\house Team
