« About GREEN\house »

GREEN\house is a collaborative project between Canada’s environmental voice, Alternatives Journal, Trent University and Fleming College.

It’s about giving students a chance to work with A\J’s editorial staff and faculty from Trent and Fleming to publish the results of their environmental projects, research, maps and graphic designs.

Students working with GREEN\house will have the opportunity to publish their work in A\J’s quarterly print magazine and on our website, getting their work in front of a national audience of people interested in learning about the natural world on macro and micro scales.

« What we’re looking for »

GREEN\house is looking to connect with students across multiple programs at Trent University and Fleming College (environmental studies, communications, cartography, sustainability studies, etc.) who are interested in learning about effective science communication and getting hands on, real-word experience in telling environmental science stories.

Our program is also open to students at all levels of their undergraduate degree and graduate students at Trent, in addition to students in any year of their diploma program at Fleming or in post-graduate diploma programs.

GREEN\house also provides opportunities for students to take on extra projects writing for alternativesjournal.ca or working on our print magazine. Contact us if you think this is you.

« Good fit? »

If you think you’re a good fit for GREEN\house, drop us a line and introduce yourself.
